TAEKWONDO: AN ART, MANY BENEFITS. ALSO FOR CHILDREN WITH HEMIPLEGIA

Curated by Alessandra Coda. The phrase "practical taekwondo" Often the answer is "What is it?", because, despite the increasing number of practitioners of the sport, many still do not know. Well, let's clarify all doubts: the Taekwondo [태권도] is a Korean martial art that involves the use of techniques of football and fist in both traditional forms and in combat. This discipline has no limits neither of age nor of skill as it can be practiced by all.

Sing that passes you-when even the gesture of donating a song can bring relief and hope.

On a June morning, Veronica He asked if we had a song to share, a song that represented the mood of a family that received an unexpected diagnosis for his son, a song ' That gives you the charge to go ahead '. Each has contributed, without any kind of comment or partiality, and a playlist has been released that we hope will be helpful to new families.

Life After Stroke: Leonardo

Life After Stroke: Leonardo

How did my son's stroke change my life?

To be or not to be, that is the question...
In Summary: My son's stroke has distorted my mother's way of being. First of all, I'm a mom plus mom: The Curse of our firstborn has put on me an irrepressable instinct to wind. We have three children now and I would continue, even if it were not that...

Life After Stroke: Leonardo

Life After Stroke: Leonardo

Suddenly we stopped. He was intent on looking at the wall that led to the sea. Or at least, so it seemed to me at that moment. Maybe he saw something interesting, which I had escaped. I didn't know it yet, but at that very moment our life was just dyed purple.

HOW TO EXPLAIN TO A CHILD WHAT A STROKE IS?

Life After Stroke: riky

Life After Stroke: riky

My life has changed: it would have changed anyway with the arrival of a child. Riky is now almost two years old and fills every space and every moment of my day. He's got a left hemiparesis. He has an emiparesis, not his emiparesis. He's a kid. He's a happy child. And that's what's important! ...

Life After Stroke: Anna

Life After Stroke: Anna

We are Anna's parents, 4, diagnosed with cerebral ischemia in utero only when the child was 10 months old. Outcome of ischemia was a left hemiparesis that resulted in a discrete motor damage to both the upper extremity (mainly to the hand) and the lower limb.

Life After Stroke: Noemi

Life After Stroke: Noemi

Here I am to tell how has changed our life to 5 years from the stroke of Noemi, past the initial phase where the world seems to collapse on you follows the period as I define the change, a very different way to live.

Life After Stroke: Riccardo

Life After Stroke: Riccardo

Riccardo was born with a smile. "Why don't you Cry?" "He smiles, he's just born but he's happy already!"
Here's what I remember of his birth, I remember his rosy face, plump and above all serene.
Maybe that's what I want to remember because in reality this feeling of peace, of extreme beauty lasted a moment and then I slipped away from my hands despite efforts to stop the memory of that beautiful perception of emotional perfection.
