Celebrate the WORLD STROKE DAY together – 29 October 2018

On the occasion of World Stroke Day and in collaboration with the International Alliance for Pediatric Stroke, we asked our community to answer these questions, to tell us what forces they have put in their field to get up and that Flavor now has the new life: ' How did you get up from such an important trauma as stroke? What is the new normality of life today? What has been useful, thinking of entering or returning to school for your children? What advice would you give to plan a new life interspersed with numerous therapy sessions? As parents, what have you done for yourself, to regain a personal well-being? In the shoes of a young man who had a stroke, what was useful to readapt in society after the stroke? '

TAEKWONDO: AN ART, MANY BENEFITS. ALSO FOR CHILDREN WITH HEMIPLEGIA

Curated by Alessandra Coda. The phrase "practical taekwondo" Often the answer is "What is it?", because, despite the increasing number of practitioners of the sport, many still do not know. To be or not to be, that is the question...
In Summary: My son's stroke has distorted my mother's way of being. First of all, I'm a mom plus mom: The Curse of our firstborn has put on me an irrepressable instinct to wind. We have three children now and I would continue, even if it were not that...

Suddenly we stopped. He was intent on looking at the wall that led to the sea. Or at least, so it seemed to me at that moment. Maybe he saw something interesting, which I had escaped. I didn't know it yet, but at that very moment our life was just dyed purple.

Life After Stroke: Riccardo

Life After Stroke: Riccardo

Riccardo was born with a smile. "Why don't you Cry?" "He smiles, he's just born but he's happy already!"
Here's what I remember of his birth, I remember his rosy face, plump and above all serene.
Maybe that's what I want to remember because in reality this feeling of peace, of extreme beauty lasted a moment and then I slipped away from my hands despite efforts to stop the memory of that beautiful perception of emotional perfection.

A chair in a waiting room. This is what I remember about the moment when, during the ultrasound of the eighth month, the doctor told us that "something was wrong". I remember the legs that were plotting and that chair, where I could not sit, waiting for the doctor to write the report and call us again in the study....
